These are terrible people and if you’re still a Republican at this point, it’s not a deal breaker for you.

People who are Republicans in 2024 know full well what they are and are aware they’re in a cult. I just can’t see it any other way. You can’t consider yourself a decent human being, see everything the Republicans do/believe in, and say to yourself “yes, this party represents me 100%. I want to make good change in my country”.

guessing they didn’t go far enough for some people, so now they have to double down on the vile rhetoric.

This whole election has made me sad and angry.

Like, seriously. How is this even close? Trump is worse in every meaningful way. Economy, immigration. Law and order. He’s not even “godly” for the Christian vote.

You don’t need to be ‘Godly’ to suit angry, vengeful Christians who think the Bible says ‘you’re better than everyone else because you’re white and watch Fox News’. Sadly, being an arsehole is sufficient spiritual nourishment for a large minority.

              Look at the Senate races.

Most of the swing state races the Dems are 6+points ahead or more.

The presidential one is bogus. There is no way there is that big a difference between the down ballot and presidency. This is the Republicans from 2012 and 2022 all over again. They had polls that said Mittens was going to beat Obama by 10-12 points.

Vote. She’s gonna win if we vote.

2020, Trump lost because people who were voting republican down ballot did not vote for him.

this time, it’s going to be lost by who loses the most voters simply not voting in the presidential election.

In any case, I’ve confirmed that my ballot has already been accepted, so… not much more I can do now than to encourage others to vote too.

I have family that are Republicans. They view fox news entertainment and use social media for news. When all the information they get is absolute trash, how can you not support republicans? Kamala isn’t Democratically elected to be a DNC candidate, and no one is happy with that. Why would you be happy with that, if nearly nobody is? Democrats are totally cool with guys saying they’re women, in order to win more sports matches because the same men aren’t competitive against men. Why would you not support that? Trump had the best economy ever. Do you not want a good economy? Trump isn’t part of the political elite, a group of people that try to force their will onto the people. Kamala has been in politics in years, and is of course part of the political elite. Why wouldn’t you vote for someone that is apart of the political elite? Doctors and Gay people want to force kids to use hormones and convince them to be gay, and democrats support them. Do you want to force kids to be gay and use hormone blockers or take unnecessary hormones?

If I tell you the above in a vacuum, along with most of your friends and relatives, how can you not believe that is reality? I mean you see the above mention in the news, in social media. This is “of course” reality, and people who believe otherwise are idiots, malicious , or crazy.

Until we deal with the crazy shit posted on social media, and Fox news posting and talking crazy shit (both I bet propped up quit a bit by foreign adversaries), people will have an alternate reality fed to them that is tailored to their wants and fears. Many people who support trump/Republicans are good people, they just are living in a different reality where Trump may have some flaws, but the left is absolutely bonkers. Many don’t watch his many rallies, and the news the consume aren’t honest in showing how he tried to steal the last presidential election, raped women and children, is in a worse mental state than Biden, is very ignorant of local and world politics, and is extremely selfish.

You know what every media outlet would be clamoring for any other candidate to do in the wake of this?

Make a public statement about it, directly from the candidate, not from ‘campaign lackeys.’

The failure of Trump to make such a statement, while vile, is sadly expected. The failure of anyone to demand it is mind-boggling.

Trump doesn’t apologize, admit mistakes, or accept anything resembling accountability. It’s worked in the past because there haven’t been lasting consequences and the more he gets away with shit the lower expectations get.

The problem for him here is that short term consequences now could become long term consequences after election day. If there’s enough outrage to shift a small portion of the vote in a single swing state, that could cost him the election.

Will it actually make a difference? Who knows, but it sure as hell isn’t going to help. While I’d rather he lost by such an unexpectedly large margin that it can’t be blamed on this, I would still laugh if it all comes down to a sudden shift in the Puerto Rican vote in PA.

Trumpist are mean. They’re bullies. It isn’t a bug, it’s a feature. They’re weak, small minded, ignorant bullies who think that hurting other people makes them strong. They are pathetic little man children who think they look tough open carrying to buy donuts, hang fake testicles on their pickemup trucks, and tell everyone who will listen that they are definitely alpha males, definitely.

Yes, but they usually keep some parts out so every bigot can fill in the blanks with their personal boogieman. Now they called it by name and alienated about 3 million possible voters that have Puerto Rican roots.

His cult doesn’t care, but there are people who intended to vote for him who do care. Because of something they heard him say that appealed to them, or something Harris said that turned them off, or they just think he looks the part or whatever. There are millions of those people, the pliable mass of uncommitted DGAF who respond to imagery and sound bites, and they actually decide the election.

The rumor is that he was going to call Kamala a cunt but the Trump campaign vetoed that, yet approved the badmouthing of Puerto Ricans and black people.
