If Apple does this, good bye iPhones. Who would use a compromised device that lets all the governments spy on you? Especially since they definitely have the ability to utilize AI to filter through conversations and identify keywords. Fuck that.

Most platforms did not had e2e back in 2013. now most offer it (thought sometimes it is optional)

Who cares if your messages are e2e. Your keyboard is snitching on fucking everything, in every single app.

If the default ones does, 95% of the data is still harvested. Then we don’t really matter.

But yeah, everyone reading the guy aboves comment, get the keyboard. The more the better.

I switched a couple of months ago, from SwiftKey. Had been using that for ever, long before Microsoft bought it.

NGL, the transition was a bit rough, and the first month my error rate spiked. All good now though, plus Futo has a bunch of super useful features SK never had. Overall, very happy.

It’s reasonable to assume Google has been served that same request. it just has not been confirmed to any outlet.

This is one of the few times I’m glad to see a corporation large enough to stand up to a government. You know Apple is gonna laugh them off.
