Like a lot of Republicans, this guy needs therapy. And medication. And anger management training.
And to be removed from a position of power.

Thanks. I don’t take my work home as such but I also do have a partner that lends a sympathetic ear when I need it. So I’m lucky in that regard. Truthfully, I get to focus on my home life the moment I’m off the clock.
At the time of answering though, we could have used a few extra hands.
My work. We’re understaffed and underappreciated.
The GOP’s problem is that it’s full of Republicans
I’ve lost four senior pets in the last 3 years, all between 14 and 23 years old.
You make them as comfortable as possible for as long as you can, and you shower them with love and treats for as long as they live.
When you have to let them go, you stay with them until their last breath and you thank them for all the years they gave you.
Go home and bawl your eyes out. Grieve for as long as you have to.
But never, ever, ever give them up or give them away. They deserve better.
His legacy could have also been “80s real estate and business failure goes to prison for SA and financial crimes.” Instead, we have a two-tiered justice system and he gets to climb onto Air Force One with toilet paper stuck to his shoe at 72 years of age.
We’re numb to injustice.
Two completely different standards applied simultaneously, amplified by media’s fawning obsession over this narcissistic shitbag and Harris’ status as a WoC
“Moderate” Dems have been trying to appear palatable to an increasingly unhinged conservative voter for decades now, so they won’t push for anything too controversial
Ours is a culture of complacency. Even where demonstrably untrue, we for generations regard ourselves as number one in all aspects of nationhood. The propaganda works as designed. We don’t expect more because we already think this is as good as it gets.
This allows the slow erosion of rights and denial of progress that we’ve seen over the last 50 years. We won’t be protesting or demanding things most democracies would consider mandatory. We’re too busy trying to get by at this point.
You guys have friends?
What I really find disappointing about this exchange is how disingenuous this scenario is that you paint. You set up a very vague and overbroad situation and then follow it up with a very specific to the point of anecdotal example as if that refutes my rebuttal.
Like, do you really think I should get bogged down in a response to this new scenario like it’s worth considering? Do you genuinely think a random person on the internet is incapable of imagining a scenario such as the one you described and would be floored by it? C’mon dude.
But ok. Sure, let’s do this like you have a good point. Here’s what should happen. Domestic violence experts who are trained in psychology and deescalation techniques could intervene and create a safe exit for victims of abuse and violence. But you know what? I don’t know what exactly that task force would look like or how it would operate. What I do know is, it shouldn’t look like those guys in blue who shoot black people in their own homes while existing and chuck flashbangs into cribs.
De-escalation.
The first way to achieve this is to stay off someone’s porch.
Under direct orders from the brain worm*
Enjoy it, because your 40s will require sacrifices.
Door? If his campaign is the Titanic, once it hits the iceberg he’ll be on the first and most luxurious lifeboat alone, with only his next nearest unindicted oarsman.
Reading A People’s History of the United States put that on my radar. I hadn’t given the idea any thought until a college course assigned this book. I was educated in a standard American public school during the Reagan and Clinton eras, complete with Pledge of Allegiance. The standard schoolbooks omit a lot of atrocities and smooth over the ugly reality.
Whatever legitimate criticisms you lay on it, Zinn’s takedown opened my worldview and intensified my pre-existing anti-authoritarian streak.
9/11 happened shortly after and by then I considered Bush an illegitimate president. I watched him wage an unjustified war, and with the whole of our bloody rampage across the globe that clicked neatly into place. “America #1” is a sick joke.
Agree with both above parent comments, but what can they hope to gain by starting to point out his meltdowns now? Do they think they can convince him to step down as well? To change his rhetoric?
This one’s not landing for me, maybe I’ve heard this before but I’m not sure what he’s implying with “San Francisco style”. Is that thin crust or deep dish? Does it come with mozzarella or anti-queer dogwhistle? I only spent an afternoon once in SF and I never had a chance to sample their “style” of liberal. Someone help me out here?
We got a whole generation full of lead paint chips to thank for this
What’s Kennedy driving these days?
