I’ll definitely look for that. I’ve stayed off political channels for the last week, but it might be time to head back.

Just watch out for access to abortion in Australia. It’s recently been under attack in Queensland and South Australia, and those are very much warm-ups for a bigger push. Expect it to become an issue next year as Peter Dutton starts to repeat Trump talking points in his campaigning.

No, it’ll take a million years to try every combination and permutation of allowed characters. Chances are your password will be tried much sooner than that.

Yeah, younger generations use snap a lot more. When they want to interact with older people though, Facebook Messenger is the go. I don’t know any workplaces or community groups that use Snapchat to communicate with everyone, and not everyone has an iPhone, but getting on the work Messenger chat group is almost mandatory at every place I’ve worked at in the last ten years. My kids, who are Gen Z, have the same experience.

Facebook Messenger is the default messaging app in Australia too. If you tell any someone that you’ll message them, you mean you’ll find them on Messenger. If you have their number it might mean SMS, but probably not.

The app isn’t exactly optimised for finding content. There’s a lot on there, but it always takes me a while to figure out which submenu gives me the goodies.

If you put that book in a kindergarten library, I can guarantee none of the kids will read it.

The only two reasons not to have it are 1) budget and 2) space. Use the room and money for books the kids will read.

The funny thing is that kids will only read things that are of interest to them, and if they’re interested in it, they’re old enough to read it. If they borrow it because they like the cover or all their friends have apparently read it or some such reason, you can be assured it’ll be returned after they get through the first page.

In Australia the coal and gas industries appear to be pushing nuclear quite hard, mainly because they distract from the renewable options preferred by the market. They know that while we’re arguing over literally every other power source, they can just keep burning holes in the ground.

The best thing about his presidency was his total incompetence in getting what he wanted. Imagine what would happen if Steve Bannon or Steven Miller were more than just the puppetmasters…
