My only issue with this is that it’s been posted in the Lemmy Shitpost community, and it’s not shit at all.

That’s fair enough. Frequently when I’ve seen a reference to the joke I’m referencing, it’s followed by a “IYKYK”, so I figured it’s fun for those who already do. It’s a reference to an old Folgers ad in which a brother and sister behave in an implausibly affectionate way toward each other. It’s just bad acting, but viewed with a cynical mindset, it seems very suspicious.
Underrated comment at the bottom there. IYKYK
I heard that story as part of the Behind the Bastards series on Vince McMahon. It was an excellent and very entertaining four- or five-episode series.
I noticed the same thing. It might be hidden due to anti-features. I found it on NeoStore.
If you own a Tesla and you’re eating Chic-fil-a, it’s because you want to. If you sit in your 115–degree Tesla for 40 minutes and record it on Tiktok, it’s because you want to.
I started getting treated for ADHD at age 45. I confronted my mom about how she and my dad treated me when I was young, constantly berating and punishing me for “not living up to my potential”, “not caring enough about school”, “not applying myself”, and explained that my behavior was almost certainly undiagnosed ADHD.
She was like, “Yeah. I know, right?”
Is this header image a subliminal suggestion to use Orion browser?
I feel this. It’s exactly as condescending as “naive” and means basically the same thing.
While this was an interesting read over all, I suspect what I’ll remember most from it is the origin of the expression “a pig in a poke”.
Ah yes, Anubis, god of death. Exactly who I want to take safety advice from.
For me it feels like complete inability to focus on anything or to recall specific concepts (like not being able to think of a word).
This is a super interesting thread because I wonder if what I’m experiencing is even brain fog at all, or just ADHD. And I also wonder how other folks know when they’re feeling brain fog.
Like, do any of you have a test for yourself to know when you’re feeling brain fog (or inversely, a test to be sure you’re not)?
I’ve seen this pop-up before on my android phone. I think it’s something to do with your app (i’m not sure from your screenshot whether that’s a browser or a client app like Sync) not having permission to access your media files. You might be able to give that app media/file permissions in your phone’s settings and that will stop happening.
I think a lot of folks hate Windows and are intimidated by, or don’t want to be inconvenienced by Linux.
blood job
not to detract from the seriousness of this crime, but it’s killing me that I keep seeing “decapitated head”, when it should be “disembodied head”. it’s his body that’s decapitated.
the sound of falling down
Same. Every time.
