    but doing anything about it now would cost money i could be putting into my next yacht, so its impossible to say whether its good or bad porky-happy

    Okay yeah climate change is causing a mass extinction event and turning the planet into an uninhabitable hellhole for future generations but won’t anyone think about the economy???

      FWIW headlines like this are targeted at people who don’t believe in climate change but do worry about the economy. In other words: exactly the people who need to see more and think more about this topic.

      You are clearly already informed. No need to disparage this kind of communication - every argument we can make helps.

    At some point one of the big countries that’s being negatively by this is going to say “screw it, let’s try solar geoengineering.” The cost is actually pretty small on this scale.

    Sure would be nice if there was a bunch of research to draw on when that time comes, instead of just flailing away.

      There is some research being done in this area, but yeah it’s almost certainly going to have epic unintended consequences.
