Summary

Trend underlines vast gender divide as election approaches, as experts say some women face pressure to ‘toe the line’ politically at home.

A TikTok trend of women “canceling out” their partners’ votes highlights a gender divide in the 2024 election, with many young women supporting Kamala Harris while their male partners back Trump. Campaigns encourage women, especially those in conservative households, to vote independently, emphasizing privacy through ads featuring voices like Michelle Obama and Liz Cheney. Conservatives like Charlie Kirk and Jesse Watters criticize these efforts, claiming they undermine family values.

    Yeah I have to agree.

I’m not in the US, the leader of our conservative party (not presently in power) is a douche but not like Trump.

In the present climate I doubt my partner would vote conservative, but if she did I could live with it.

If she voted for someone as messed up as Trump I would genuinely struggle with that. I feel like it would be indicative of deeper problems.
