I mean better preventing illegal immigration but also easier avenues for legal migration for both newcomers and at least those who’ve been in the US for a while seem the ways to go there. Latter only if there’s a real need for the extra workers, not just because profit goes up if you bring in cheaper labourers, of course. So throw in stronger unions in to the mix also.
Sounds like something that should be thoughtfully and carefully addressed instead of just ignored and thrown away.
