Hey @ljdawson@lemmy.world - I’m sure you’re swamped with the actual work of building the app, but have you considered building awareness for the app through a Pre-Registration release on Google Play?

Seems like it could be a great way to help people who are interested in a top-notch Lemmy client find Sync… and perhaps also help people who want to know when Sync for Lemmy releases, but don’t want to share their emails on SyncApps.io
Hoping to get this up this week.
Good, good. I’ve got some Rewards money to burn on the Play Store by mid-August. Hoping to get a Pro purchase in there. 👽
What benefits did Pro use give you on Sync for Reddit?
For me the biggest benefit was supporting the developer. But to answer your question is no ads.
Do your thang sir :) we know you’ll kill it.
Sync when. Pro when. Ultra when. Lifetime when.
Just kidding, take all the time you need.
Finished setting this up yesterday. Just waiting for Google’s approval
Thank you for all your hard work! Looking forward to the app
For a split second I thought this was for Sync and went to search for it on the store.
Me to man… me too.
wtf do you have against Boost?
Nothing. It just seemed like it would be in bad taste to share a competing app in the official community dedicated to Sync, so I figured I would blur it out.
We’re all friends here. Just different flavours of Lemmy Apps to suit people’s tastes.
A user got banned for mentioning Thunder for Lemmy I think
it’s just Japanese boost now
Japanese boost where lemmynsfw is the default instance
Hadn’t heard of it so I clicked that link and noticed it collects, among other things, location data with no way to request removal. So that’s my answer
Seems like it likes collecting data

They’re asking why Boost is blurred out, not why they prefer Sync over Boost.
Boost was so much better then the reddit app, since it was killed I haven’t touched reddit.
I’m still using Boost.
