I love privacy and OPSEC as much as all users in this community. I have also a big interest in OSINT and finding information about others.

This may be the wrong community to ask, but because Lemmy isn’t quite widespread yet, I’ve not managed to find any OSINT/OPSEC communities. (Or maybe I’m a bit silly and not understanding how Lemmy works, still new)

The point of this post: I know grabbify is a decent resource in order to figure out a strangers location. But if I remember it correctly, it even pops up with a warning to the target once the link is clicked, defeating its purpose. I’ve seen that StormBreaker is another great tool that could be used. A bit more advanced in its capabilities. Do you have any good ‘information gathering’ tools like these if one were to click a link?

Background story: Not for a malicious purposes of course. But in this instance, a family member bought a PS5 and got scammed. Which of course lead me to write this. (Post will be removed if its the wrong community. Thought it could be good for a privacy-activist to know what threats that exists out there)
