The Teamsters Union reached a historic tentative agreement with UPS that will greatly benefit the over 340,000 UPS Teamsters workers. The deal includes substantial wage increases for both full-time and part-time workers, the creation of over 7,500 new full-time positions, the reclassification of 22,400 part-time workers to full-time, air conditioning in delivery vehicles, Martin Luther King Day as a paid holiday, limits on mandatory overtime, and over 60 contract improvements - all without any concessions from workers. Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien said "We’ve changed the game, battling it out day and night to make sure our members won an agreement that pays strong wages, rewards their labor, and doesnt require a single concession.
The members still need to vote to ratify if I haven’t missed something.
