So long as Islam is used to uphold theocratic oppression in places like Iran and Saudi Arabia, it deserves criticism.

Abuse of religion as a device of control may be universal to all faiths, but it doesn’t help your cause when your dogma insists God made us this way.

In the end, the moral systems of government appear to be secular, which means the Islamic State or the Great Commission are going to require the adoption of a lot of leftist ideas before they become viable as a model for a global human society.

Or as the Arabs used to say Trust in God, but tether your camel

A religion that takes great pains to proclaim its a religion of peace makes me think it is really trying hard to cover up for the fact that it just fucking isn’t.

This is all religions, and many sports fandoms…go sing a River Plate song in front of some Boca Juniors fans and see how that works out for you.

Funny how this community has popped off and gets high upvotes when it criticizes Christianity but the second you bring up Islam it’s damn near a crusade

It’s not that bad, right? Save for one new post that oddly enough has 100+ upvotes, all other posts today have up to 10.

When I commented that this post was at 0 with 19 likes and 19 dislikes and it’s the first post I’ve seen that criticizes Islam.

Hell on another post you even had people in the comments complaining that this community doesn’t complain about Islam or Judaism which made this post being at 0 even more ironic.

I downvoted the post because the point it’s making is far too generic. All Abrahamic religions are violent, either historically, currently or both and if you say that to them, all members of the religion in question will get angry. At least the christianity memes are targeting an attribute that’s particular to that religion (creationism, the ridiculousness of the trinity etc).

If someone posted an Islam meme that was a critique of an aspect of that religion that was particular to just that religion it’d probably get more traction. As it is, this just feels like an excuse to infer Islam is more violent than the other two.
