    Are people implying their young children are choosing a religion for themselves? I think its pretty obvious that they just go with their parents until they have critical thinking skills. Even if you’re an atheist, you are passing it on to your child until they can choose for themselves.

      This isn’t trolling, this is a meme by and for atheists. I think it applies to any childhood indoctrination by any religion though.

          Cultural surroundings are very different than handing a child a book of fairy tales and telling them it’s truth and that if they don’t live according to that book they’ll burn in hell for eternity. That is cruel.

          Then why does the conservative Christians keep voting to keep it legal? I think like 11 states allow child marriage with parental approval.

              No. They’re literal marriages between grown men and young girls.

              Children traded to some dude in their parent’s church. Sometimes the girl was never even given a birth certificate, because these Christian cults don’t think their daughters are good for anything except producing more children.
