To be fair they’re nuns, they chose their “calling”, being a nun is literally their job that they are paid for, it’s a uniform. Whereas Islamic women in those countries that force the burka and hijab on their women force it on all women under penalty of death, in most cases, that’s a distinct difference.

Hence why you don’t see a shitload of women wearing the nun “habit” all over Italy or anywhere else the Catholic Church has spread to. This is a dumb comparison OP, priests have uniforms too.

force it on all women under penalty of death, in most cases

Not true at all. Only Iran and Afganistan and a province I Indonesia require women to wear a hijab and none of them require a burka. And those countries don’t impose the death penalty for not wearing it, although there are cases in afganistan where people have imposed that themselves despite it not being the “official” position of the taliban government.

In fact far more countries, ban the hijab outright, including some Muslim countries.

So saying its enforced by death penalty in most cases is an outright lie.

Like we can talk about the social and religious expectation to wear one and how that’s bad, but lying to make the problem seem worse than it really is is not productive.
