It worked well for me until at some point the audio in Plex was slightly off and there was no way to adjust anything in this damn app. I was not alone with this issue but they never did anything about it.

I consciously avoid having to control any of my smart home devices using voice or other weird methods. Everything is toggled with buttons or fully automatic. This works pretty well for me and voice control is still available but it’s only optional. Sure you might ask why even make it smart then? Because I’m a nerd and because I keep forgetting to turn lights off when I leave. Also smart thermostats are great.
Though I also gave up on my vacuum robot. Due to rearranging some furniture I had to move the vacuum base and let it rescan my apartment. But now for some reason it never gets past the dining room and aimlessly swirls around the table until the battery is dead, never finishing the room scan. On top of that it picked up a small pebble or something and scratched the floor. I had enough of it.
Wow 2025, such a long break.
Youtube itself hosts a library of royalty free music and effects to use in videos. Many creators just use that.
I personally don’t notice the music that much, I’m more annoyed by overused sound effects.
I guess the one that pretty much everyone knows in Germany is Buxtehude. It is being used as the poster child for a backwards town, far away from cities. Which is funny because neither is it backwards, remote or even very small. With a population of 40k it’s relatively large, compared to many other places in Germany, even just right next to Buxtehude. It is not far from Hamburg and its historic core is worth a visit. I think the name itself is the reason why it is being made fun of so much. Though there are so many other, much quirkier named towns in Germany but it somehow became Buxtehude.
German car makers are unfortunately dealing with the same issue since the incentives were cancelled.

But Mac user, sorry.
I will have to cut down on costs but I won’t be poor, so yes.
Just improve the Home app please. It’s still on Matter 1.1.
People expecting a new Twitter when switching to Mastodon were met with weird behavior and nerds who told them the awful search function or weird comment count is working correctly because that’s how federation works. Well if that’s the case then federation is shit.
It feels like everything is going down the drain right now but when you look at the whole human history, this is probably just a hiccup and overall it will continue getting better in the long run.
And although we missed the mark and won’t be able to stop climate change, humanity will adapt somehow and live on. Enlightenment I don’t know, but better yes.
But for the near future, I don’t see good things coming…
I am much more sarcastic in real life because it’s easier to read the room and get my point across. It’s a way for me to put some form of entertainment into a frustrating topic and feel smart. But I started using it less and try to actually explain what’s on my mind instead. This not only improves the quality of the discussion but also makes me want to dive deeper into topics so I can better talk about it and maybe even understand/accept opposing views better.
I live alone, too but since a few years ago I started decorating for Christmas because I like the vibe of it. I got myself a fake Christmas tree from Ikea last year that looks surprisingly good.
For any other occasion I don’t decorate because I don’t participate in it.
I don’t understand your reasoning specifically for pork but less animals eaten is better in any case.
All of my teenage years were cringe but at some point I changed my clothing style to be more like that one dude in class who took drugs, sprayed graffiti and was always in trouble. Because he once said to me I could draw pretty good.
Not Op but atheist who accepts that some people would actually be unhappy without religion.
I still think the PS2 had the best looking and at the time most radical design. 1 was cool and iconic. 3 was just ugly. 4 ok, The current design looks cool but is extremely impractical.
Of Nintendo I liked the European SNES, Gameboy Color and DS Lite. N64 is dear to my heart but it was not good looking and the controller was horrendous.
So it doesn’t exactly fit but the first job I got after my training was, as I found out later, just a stand-in for someone else who had more experience but couldn’t join until about a month or two later. So I was supposed to be fired during probation once he joined. My coworker, who was already unhappy with his job, found out about it and quit right before the arrival of the other guy to make room for me (my hero!). So I took his place and my boss was stuck with me being there. A few months later my (new) coworker and me (and a few others) quit at around the same time because it became unbearable to work at this place.
I started the tradition with my parents and brother of saving money over the year for charity. We put up a jar at my parents house and whenever we visit and have money to spare (which for me is a fixed amount that I put aside every month), it goes into the jar. On christmas the money is split evenly among us and everyone tells which cause/organization they are going to donate their part to.
The jar thing is not ideal because I rarely have cash on me so I always have to go to the bank first and then when it’s time to donate, the cash money has to go back into the bank. But it’s nice to look at and it doesn’t tell exactly how much is in it from a glance, so it’s a bit of a mystery until Christmas. I might propose to go digital for next year though.
If you have no idea what Git is, that warning message is not telling you you’re about to delete 5000 files.
But I wonder if this person maybe does know about Git because they used the word „stage“.
