Does it seed tho?
I cannot use mobile data with ipv6, as no carrier in my country gives them out.
Boredom sparks new interests. You need to experience it to understand.
Tbh there are people who are never bored, because they have a strong intrinsic motivation to try new things or improve. Usually in things that arent jobs, like hobbies or volunteer work/clubs.
For example I would love to improve my programming, switch to linux, set up home server, learn how to lockpick, go climbing or pick up bodybuilding and build cardio, redecorate my home, maybe dive into streaming game-speedruns…
“Being a teacher is not a profession, but a passion.” Heard that BS multiple times.
Also getting shocked looks when I answer “because of the good pay” when asked why I am a teacher. (Disclaimer, am not american)
“more power to them” it it makes them feel better.
What a funny statement. “More power to them” while it won’t do anything because they dont have the power to prevent facebook doing what its doing so its just making them feel better.
Yea, me watching it so many ywars after it came out definitely colored my opinion. Its like that with many “first” movies, from Tron to Metropolis, that the original appeal decreases as the motives and filmmaking techniques arent as new anymore, because of those movies. One would have to watch “generic” movies from that year to really apprechiate the innovative parts which then got replicated over and over.
I mean, I get both. Sometimes it felt more like a documentary whith grand and cinematic images of the city and few spoken words, I can apprechiate that, altho its not what I am looking for in a movie.
I suspected that he is supposed to not really show emotions, to show how he is trained/at the “baseline” and how he is not quite human. But I couldn’t see a gradual/fine development nor “hidden” or suppressed emotions behind his cold pokerface. (Apart from the one moment at the memory girl’s)
Just watched both bladerunner movies (idk which versions of them) and was rather underwhelmed. The cinematic grand setpieces i can apprechiate and see how they can be captivating for some but the story (or bith of them rather) wasnt very good imo. The worldbuilding is ambitious but the logic behind everything is lacking. Its just not “realistic” enough for me. I get thats sci-fi but for me it feels more like a fantasy movie like idk avatar or harry potter, rather than sci-fi which is supposed to play in our world/universe but with advanced tech. Things like not being able to distinguish replicants (first movie I just didnt buy. And then in the second one there is a gadget that can do just that.
And also Ryan Gosling played pretty badly (maybe it was the script), no emotions, (almost) no storytelling in his mimic, emotions, in his character at all. He is almost like a wax figure, during watching I multiple times had to pause and complain to my co-watcher about his performance, as it too was unrealistic and too stoic for my taste
Never owned leather shoes an all of them had a “break in period”. Probably different to leather but they change drastically the first 5-10h you wear them.
You sound so very american lol.
I have Podcast Addict, I think its free but I paid a few dollars because of the great selection of settings and options I never knew I needed.
(For example I have it configured so that after 5pm the Sleeptimer automatically makes the podcast fade down and pausing after 10’ of listening, unless I move/shake the phone during the fade down-part, then it extends for another 10’. Perfect for using it in public transport or in bed and dozing off.)
Tbh switzerland has a similar system to the SGAE, where there is a “hidden tax” on all devices that you can load with data. And in turn the downloading of media (with the exclusion of computerprograms and games) is legal. Only the upload of copyrighted material is forbidden.
Not a bad system imo, the tax is so small that you dont really notice it so its a pretty consumer-friendly and piracy-friendly solution. Altho I assume the swiss government gets away with it because it would be too expensive to lobby/legal for a copyrightsholder-favoured system compared with the small amount of people (let alone pirate) who live here.
Symphonium: The best money I ever spent on an app.
I am 70% sure this is correct, i remember vaguely: The swiss law was written in 2019 iirc. The idea is that there is a high tax on drives/usb sticks/dvds and all such devices. This gets distributed to copyrightholders in some way. And uploading is illegal.
The appliance in the picture is a standmixer + scale + induction cooker with additional features to do much more (if you buy them ofc). What I dont know is if the app/wifi connection is required or optional, if its required I am not buying it.
It appeals to me because you can just throw in the ingredients the appliance tells you to and after 10-20 mins you have a done onepot, soup, dough or sauce. But am worried about the software part of this becuse I am with you about those 5 years and then they lose interest. But those companies are reputable and have a long history of repairing their devices and giving new warranty on it after the repair. So that makes me optimistic, kinda.
I’m intact(/uncircumsized) and cannot imagine how you would accidentally do that
Threads doesnt have that much users I think. Fb, insta and whatsapp do have a lot of users but I dont expect a lot of users comming from there
Ah, I mistook “american cheese” with “cheddar”. The first isnt cheese, the second one is. Those american slices in the "cheese"burger, those that come out od the plastic wrapper, we in Switzerland call them “Cheddar” as well.
