This reminds me of when one of my friends was playing Fallout: New Vegas back when it was still new, and decided to give his character the “Confirmed Bachelor” perk…which states that it will give your (male) character a damage bonus against male enemies, and unique dialogue options for male NPCs. It was very implied to be the “make your character gay” perk, but he didn’t realize it until he suddenly started getting flirty dialogue options with male NPCs.

He wasn’t very happy…I still find it hilarious that he got mad about something he opted into.

For the record, we’re more acquaintances than friends these days. He went hard right. Naturally.

Not sure why they’re getting downvoted for speaking facts. Nobody is cracking Denuvo anymore. To my understanding, the way Denuvo is installed in a game is similar to how a wad of gum gets in your hair: it’s stuck in various different spots, and takes a lot of work to get out completely. Basically, hackers have little incentive to devote weeks to pry it out of a game, so they’ve pretty much stopped. The only good thing about Denuvo, as far as the piracy scene is concerned, is that devs have to pay yearly for a license, which means inevitably, they will stop, and remove it from the game. But who knows when that will be.

This is the first console generation where I bought and sold a console before the next gen came along. I got one of those PS5 emails while they were still somewhat limited, and decided to jump on it like a dumbass. Two years later, sold it to recoup the cost of my Steam Deck. The only real exclusive it has that I played was the Demon’s Souls remake, and that just wasn’t enough to convince me to keep it around. Looks like the other exclusives I have missed out on since then is…(checks notes)…Astro Bot…and that’s it. Oh well.
