21·3 months agoEnshittification is more than just scummy vendor lock-in tactics. There are multiple things that count towards enshittification. Using “bot detection” as an excuse to block users with ad blockers and privacy tools is just as scummy

Here in the UK, you can make silent phone calls to 999, but you still need to respond to the operator in dome way. If you can’t speak to the operator, they’ll ask you to cough or to press certain keys so they can verify that it’s a real call. Just dialling 999 without interacting with the operator won’t guarantee a police response.
