Man: project zomboid just creates a “Zomboid” folder in home, not even with a leading dot.

on modern systems bin, sbin, lib, and lib64 are just symlinks to their respective /usr/* counterparts
A Nazi/Hitler salut was always illegal in Germany after WW 2 and courts figured it out what counts as a nazi salute and what not (it often comes down to context i guess).
Wayland is a from scratch redesign on how to display things on Linux to get rid of a huge amount of technical debt of x11.
As always with such a huge undertaking, there are a lot of speedbumps on the read that you can’t see beforehand. And at every speedbump people cried that wayland was a mistake and we just should go back to x11 because it worked good enough.
We now reached the point where wayland has (almost?) feature parity with x11, that’s why now more and more distro deprecate x11 to be unsupported some undetermined point in the future.
Hey got the same one.
Is nicole cheating on me? q.q
what about diaspora?
afaik ap is no hard requirement to be considerted fediverse
afaik ap is not a hard requirement for being in the fediverse, matrix is often included because it has the same federation idea
Signal is not Fediverse! Element/Matrix is!
my problem with signal is that they have a hard requirement to use a phone number for signup and that they don’t want to do anything about federation or messenger intercompatibility.
Their resoning is that they only trust themself to keep the meta data safe and so need you. Leaves a little bit of a sour tast in my mouth that they don’t even give their users the option to opt into federation.
sad no element/matrix icon noises q.q
i guess time to short it? seems like a bubble
Reminds me of a YouTube comment under the video where they got cut of during a bbc live take for singing “fuck” after the production team brieft them to not sing fuck: “What machine they thought they rage against? The printer?”
Don’t forget that the whole Federation is a post captialist utopia which is a political statement in itself.
Oh man: Look up the Korean version of cindarella (Wikipedia has a brief on the cindarella page): The evil step sister (only one in that version) gets butchered and made into a korean dish and send to the evil step motger as a gift. after she ate it, she gets told that she just ate part of her daughter before also getting executed.

Don’t know if it translates good to english:
Observed from an outside standpoint, it is close to the right edge.
Von außen betrachtet ist es nah an der rechten Ecke.

fun fact: that dotfiles are hidden on *nix systems was just a bug in the first version of ls (the dev originally only wanted to hide the “.” and “…” entry and not every file starting with .), but before the 2nd version could roll around, people have already deemed it a usefull feature so it was never changed.
