Genuinely curious, what are they using to access the Internet? I’m struggling to believe they brought smartphones with them that are universally compatible with the cell networks? Do they have PCs in the barracks and the dudes are just huddled around having the time of their lives?
This happened to me when I received a cell for work. I ended up fully silencing the phone and giving important co-workers my personal number instead. The spam calls have only recently started to slow down… I’ve had the number for 10 years.

I think it’s just to stop the prongs from scuffing other things in the same package compartment. Usually you’ll get the cord in a bag or with the plastic but not both. With the cord is in a section of the packaging with other items it keeps them from getting scratched.
