Most states here don’t even have car inspections lol
Every car that blinds me is some extremely new 2020-2024 year car. I get blinded by every third car on the road. The amount of people that get aftermarket headlights installed is very much not a third of all car owners. I can get behind poorly aimed by the dealer but you are wildly overestimating the number of people who have aftermarket lights.
I’m over in AL and I wish that my state was even on the road toward dragging our state forward. Maybe someday we can kick Kay Ivey to the curb and get a governor like NC.
Wow I actually really like that idea. I don’t think I would’ve ever come up with it myself. It’d be cool to have a candidate platform made up of the best crowdsourced policy ideas.
For me it looks like this:
So the text one appears the same for both of us but the emoji one appears differently which could possibly change its meaning if they were different enough

I hate this take because wtf else are the regular people supposed to do? The people in charge have systematically dismantled every single other form of transportation from trains to busses to bicycles and then placed everywhere you can live far away from everywhere you want to go and everywhere you can make money. Of course you have to drive everywhere! And then it’s also our fault the climate is collapsing?? Like I’m just trying to make it to TOMORROW.
Yeah I’m not sure either. He used to do science-y videos before I started watching and I think his political videos really caught the algorithm which changed what kind of content he made for sure.
Thanks for the plug! I’ll definitely check them out. I’ve been missing that kinda stuff since all the “Breadtube” people make 2 hour long videos with long breaks now haha
Pretty sure it was the "We need to talk about ‘Authoritarianism’ " video. I’d have to rewatch it to find what I found objectionable at the time lol
If it makes you feel any better, I was even later than you to stop watching. I didn’t know about any of that Nebula stuff and only found out when one of his videos was so insane I had to go see how other people felt about it.
Wow everything looks so well maintained! Guess that’s the difference when you look at taxes as doing your part for the good of everyone vs the “gubment stealin ur hard earnd cash” sentiment we have around here. Also it looks like things are just plain closer together too.
There are some nicer places a little bit southeast of where I live but they’re even further apart because the houses are bigger, the lots they are on are bigger and that makes the neighborhood larger which makes getting anywhere pretty much require a car. Not like I could afford living over there anyway haha
I wish we could ride bikes but here in the US there is absolutely no infrastructure for it. The closest Domino’s to me is 3 miles away. Riding a bike there would be extremely scary.
Even if you take Google’s specified bike route through the neighborhoods you still have to go out onto the main roads at some point. First main road speed limit is 30mph where people routinely go 40-45. Second main road is 35mph where people also go 40-45. And the final stretch of “stroad” speed limit is 45mph where people go 55-60mph.
Here you can use Google streetview and follow the route as if you were biking and see it yourself. https://maps.app.goo.gl/v4MnfPeZ9LuFzV8y6?g_st=ac (Don’t worry, I’m not doxxing myself)
Oh! That actually makes a ton of sense lol
Why are there so many that lay flat with prongs up???
I know you’re probably joking but he is me and my 2 girlfriends! https://imgur.com/a/0DEx55H
That is definitely a benefit! It is very difficult sometimes, though.
Right I’m actually kinda addicted so I like make time for my “dailies”. Usually like an hour a day -ish. Don’t think I’ve missed a day for around 250 days now. I know I’d probably enjoy it more if I played story games or something but it is nice to just turn off my brain for an hour. Kinda feels like how my parents would brain-off watch TV for hours.
Also I have an Google sheet with checkmarks to make sure I do everything every day so I spend the least amount of time on each game rather than thinking.
I read that earlier and I’m confused why it seems to matter if the vote is above the threshold for the state to flip or not to do a recount.
Take Nevada: " As for Nevada, Spoonamore contended in his letter, “NV - 43K+ 5.5%+ of Trump’s total vote. Enough to exceed recount threshold.” The Nevada government website (archived) reported that — out of 1,487,887 total ballots cast — 1,484,840 ballots contained votes for presidential candidates and 1,464,728 contained votes for U.S. Senate candidates. The mximum number of “bullet votes” is 23,159. Trump received 46,008 more votes in Nevada than Harris. "
Snopes seems to be saying that it doesn’t matter if Trump cheated and sneaked in 23k bullet votes because Kamala would have lost anyway without them. In my view, if ANY cheating occured then that’s like really bad right? Even if it didn’t flip the election?
23k is a little more than half of 43k so the percentage would drop from 5.5% down to 2.8% which is still wayyy over the usual 0.05% bullet ballots which seems very odd and makes it recount worthy. (Note: The 0.05% bullet ballots figure comes from the original article which I haven’t fact checked since idk how so if that’s wrong please correct it “In comparison, bullet ballots for Trump in Oregon, Utah and Idaho—the three states which border Arizona and Nevada, with equally fervent Trump voters—count for less than 0.05% in each state.”)
