  • I have just creeped this womans ENTIRE POST HISTORY back to the beginning and there is not SHIT to support this narrative you awful fucking little goblin. She has posted NOTHING that I saw even vaguely political (at a skim) to suggest she vocally supported the excesses of the IDF, sick inadequacy of the Biden administration, or anything except generic girl stuff. What the FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU. I am more of a regime whore than she is. Get a fucking grip .mls.

The fucks that left unity you assholes use to browbeat anarchists with?

To be frank I know this is a bad faith poster so I don’t value them or anything they have to say in response. This is what blocklists are for. I am pointing this dog shit out for the rest of you. WHAT IS THIS? Because it looks purposelessly cynical and divisive for the sake of keeping people down and tired. Almost state-actor like, if I may be so bold.

  • Neutral observation: World’s userbase is incompatible with the attitudes and queer acceptance of nearly any community that originates from a place like Blahaj. Your comment sections will go to directly to shit. You will constantly be embattled by .world bigots. Sea-lioning and whataboutism will be common and things you never imagined would be controversial will be. Given the incoming administration I would stick to spaces carved out for the culture you want to see on a “r/196-like” board.

  • I saw a BlackPeopleTwitter post yesterday where one local (so, black) user gave another Asian user a coveted “invite to the cookout” for posting some decently well meaning kinda intersectionalist words, and they ATE THE FORMER USER ALIVE, saying paraphrased obviously “we give this privelage out way too readily to people who evidence the bare minimum decency”. Some people want to gel so bad they jump the gun and so you can’t assume one minority giving you a privelage related to their community stands for all in the community. The paradox of the N-pass.

I paired down a much cruder response initially to just what you read because I thought about it and realized this was the case. I still find it disgusting to use whataboutism to ignore Europe’s racism. If your answer to is to shrug off your own country’s white supremacism because America is worse that’s bullshit. It isn’t as enlightened as you think it is.

I’m semi convinced everyone clowning on Trump with nicknames is what makes him unstoppable. Call him orange, call his makeup gross, call him poopy pants. He can kill your fucking family with impugnity now. He essentially always could. He does not, and never truly did care about what his enemies on the internet think, we’re not threats or even really real to him. His audacity totally eclipsed yours. We only made ourselves feel better with Orange Man Bad. It was pissing me off from the beginning. Everyone thinks its funny Hitler had Jewish blood and one nut now, but we get to laugh about that with the benefit of hindsight. The here and now should be about taking everything deadly fucking seriously. Pithy nicknames were his strongsuit, not ours. Wanna talk semiotics and the “weird” attack vector? Okay, but that one was the first one that stuck in years and it was a criticism levied at the total of the GOP, not just Trump.

  • Thank you for educating me, I absolutely did get the sappy propaganda version of that story. I do WISH we could convince people not to use the symbol but I admit that’s something I only wish was possible because it would give us a prescriptive answer to emerging hate symbols.

On a long enough timescale maybe people can recoup the symbol back to its/their original forms; but we live now, and I find it unlikely. And the danger we face now from symbols with plausibly deniable hate built into them is considerable.

Did you notice we were talking about an emergant cartoon frog hate symbol and now we’re having a one hundred year old debate about the last great hate symbol? If we don’t draw lines, what is the protocol of protecting ourselves from fully unironic uses of would be hate symbols? I am not saying CENSOR PICTOGRAMS I DON’T LIKE. I am saying there isn’t a way to stop people from abusing our reticence towards censorship and tolerance of the gray without intense scrutiny and educating people about the symbols. That does kinda mean telling Buddhists that their sign of peace is our sign of death. First the culture shock, then the bitter arguments and singed pride. What should come next then?
