I tried using it on several occasions, but it is extremely slow for me, with occasional visual glitches… I use Wayland, if it makes any difference. How’s the OnlyOffice performance for you? Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

Just a thought, but instead of a full windows install / live USB - what about a freedos live USB? You should be able to run exe files from there (assuming the bios exe does not need any GUI libraries).
I’m actually doing the opposite :)
I’ve been using vms, lxc containers and docker for years. In the last 3 years or so, I’ve slowly moved to just docker containers. I still have a few vms, of course, but they only run docker :)
Containers are a breeze to update, there is no dependency hell, no separate vms for each app…
More recently, I’ve been trying out kubernetes. Mostly to learn and experiment, since I use it at work.
What do you mean it’s hard to update containers?
How do you get the data on to the cloud storage? Maybe use something like restic
, which can handle encryption, snapshots, etc.
Yup. I’m in a similar situation. I work from home and vape in my office. I do it non-stop… I lowered the nic concentration as much as possible, but still, it’s a lot. It’s too convenient. Better than cigarettes though.
Well, it’s a spectrum :) I have 4 ADHD people at home, all diagnosed and medicated, but they all behave differently. One has too many questions, another one none… 🤷

beleaguered = besieged, surrounded by enemy troops. til.
I read somewhere that certain places have a very large amount of people with lactose intolerance, like north America. I used to drink raw milk, straight from the bucket my grandma used to milk the cow. Never had any issues. Grew up on a farm in Romania in the 80s.
Also, mici.
My wife reacts really well to medication - however, it took some time until she found the proper dosage. If she takes 20mg, it’s too little, and she just feels droopy. If she takes 30mg, it’s too much and she feels anxious. So one 25mg pill in the morning and another pill after lunch works really well for her (Ritalin). There are other variables, like when she is really tired or she’s on her period, too. What I want to say is that maybe 30mg is not right for you, try it out for a few days and discuss with your doctor, so if it didn’t work, adjust the dosage or change to something else.
I… guess? I don’t know how I would classify these games. But they all are able to steal from me 8h in a day, no issue :)
Project Zomboid, Rimworl, Dwarf Fortress, Stellaris, Starsector…
I don’t live so far north, but good, light, waterproof boots. Of course, everything else people recommended already - good gloves, socks, jacket, and layers. But for me personally, boots would be the most important.
I do twitch a little when I hear someone saying bravi to a single person :)
We use digital ocean for a pre-production k8s environment, as well as other stuff, no complaints. Terraform works great with it. My only issue is that the worker nodes IPs change during/after an update, so we have to update our firewalls a few times, while the update is running, and after it’s over.
I use Linux, and I have a 10 gen i7 with 32gb of ram. So it must be something with my setup …
