What exactly is the 321 rule?
it’s pretty good but after my first listen I don’t feel like I was really blown away or anything tbh. Feeling like a 7/10 maybe, but I’ll have to listen a few more times.
Fediverse streetpass would go craaaaazy
My answer was from @EmoPolarbear@lemmy.ca, who said pointig two different services that can provide digital files to the same folder is never a good idea. Even though I turned off OneDrive which I thought would avoid anything going wrong, it was still pretty bad, so just don’t do it in the first place. Probably read their whole comment though to make sure you understand fully

This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for I had no idea kde connect existed, you are a blessing
Yep I sure did the thing you said not to do. I’m very new to a lot of this stuff still learning, I didn’t think about it and thought it would just work in was able to recover all my files and everything is fine so I’m not worried about it anymore and I understand the issue now. So this has just been a learning experience, I’m moving on with the second message you suggested and just making a new folder and copying stuff over. Thanks for the input man
Some of my favorites that I don’t usually see mentioned would be Inmost, that game is fantastic, and Momodora Reverie Under the Moonlight. Honestly the whole Momodora franchise is great, worth checking out.
It is, they can’t access anything it’s all encrypted and truly private to you. My only problem with the free tier is that there’s a signature at the bottom saying it was sent with proton mail, which isn’t even a big deal you just have to remember to remove it every time you send something. That and the 1 gig storage limit fills up quicker than you’d think.
This is so true good comment
Those of us against it just have to do our best to fight back. It’s all we can do.
Some good news today 🙏
Shhh don’t tell him
(I’m only just a little embarrassed with how prevalent he is)
disco elysium soundtrack is fiiiiire
Me and some friends of mine went out “reverse trick or treating” tonight, we carried around a door knocking at houses and giving them candy, and doing the same for any trick or treaters, that kind of thing. We were really disappointed by how few people we saw, and a majority of the houses in the area just had bowls. It made us feel quite sad actually.
I think we were just in an older neighborhood, full of mostly empty nesters with a few younger couples. I hope anyways. There’s a part of me that’s worried that Halloween is like a dying holiday I guess, but maybe that’s just because I’ve gotten older and have a different perspective. Who knows.
That’s crazy, I had no idea. I’m definitely gonna have to check that out. Thanks for letting me know
I think ChatGPT and other Ai can be a fantastic tool if you use it responsibly. It’s a great help for learning and practicing things. I’ve very recently made my first server and it’s great at answering all my simple questions that I sometimes feel hesitant to bother people with, and little things like that. Sometimes I’ll ask it to give me a simple kind of structure or bullet point list of topics I need to make sure to hit in my writing, or weirdly enough it’s pretty good at helping me with substitutions in recipes, or other little things like that. And I personally think that all of this is fine.
But I’m entirely against using it to create any kind of final product. Having it do any kind of actual final work is just stupid and lazy. I truly don’t think Ai is capable of making anything that’s worth peoples time really, and in the amount of time you’ll spend meticulously explaining everything that you want or need for whatever it is you have it generating for you, you could’ve just made it yourself and done a far better job. That’s where I draw the line. I don’t think Ai has to be inherently evil or anything because it can be a great tool, but you can’t rely on it to actually do things for you. Maybe others will disagree me I know many people especially in Fediverse circles are very very strongly anti Ai in all facets but that’s just my thoughts.
