I’ve found the deck magnification shortcut to be unhelpful when I’ve used it - often because the resolution of the text isn’t high enough for it to look legible when blown up.

Thanks for showing, I didn’t know about that. Proprietary, of course…
You have to pair first. Then you have to troubleshoot because Bluetooth isn’t very good. And then you get slow transfer rates.
With airdrop you literally open it up, find the person, then drop it. No pairing, no bullshit. It just works and you get on with your life.
It’s very, very useful for people to share videos instantly. For instance, someone takes a video at the end of a dance class and then sends it to the teacher for them to post online after. Or two people want to practice something so they record a small thing and send to the other person. It’s seamless and really quick.
Android users end up having to wait for someone to upload to e.g. Dropbox and then share a link.
I paired both my phone and earbuds to the deck and the phone’s audio was super choppy. It behaved better when in the deck’s options menus but it was still bad. 🤔
No way, that’s awesome!
I know it’s totally subjective, but I wonder how much “non-trash” YouTube is uploaded each day?
Yeah, not fond of nearly all of them. I find the pink fairly nice (wish it were more desaturated and had no texture) and the gradiented one pleasant. But neither would I trip over to get.
https://web.archive.org/web/20160314132836/http://www.opnsense.com/
This was the website that pfsense maintainers made as soon as OPNsense was announced. They sniped the name, derided the project and only ended up handing over the domain after they were legally compelled to.
One person affiliated with Netgate in particular can be seen around forums and social media and has serious axes to grind. He’s… not pleasant.
Add to that Netgate’s practices (IIRC secret proprietary blob required to build pfsense, double-check that fact / unremovable installation tracking) and the picture painted is one of petulance and anger.
[edit] oh yeah, and this gem! https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/03/buffer-overruns-license-violations-and-bad-code-freebsd-13s-close-call/
Second OPNsense. pfSense also is maintained by some pretty shitty individuals.
That might be an appealing retro aesthetic to have!
Poor Clint… That must have been heartbreaking to see.
What, you don’t want .sucks and .rocks and .store and .baboon and .hummus and…?
User choice is great and all but it comes at a cost. They could be using the engineering power and time to work more on steamos
All the ISPs I’ve used block the relevant ports.
I’ve not heard of that before. That’s insane.
Should we just admit that the rise of the far right is just a symptom of a long unaddressed mental health crisis in the US, and certain people exploiting that for their own gain, or is it too soon for that?
100%. The sickness of the system comes from inequalities and gutted education. Thanks, Reagan!
Than matrix? Me, too. It’s so complex, cumbersome, and full of half-functional clients.
