Konami was killing it back then.
Konami was killing it back then.
It’s NEO GEO… Come on. Of course he’s playing it
What is that secondary script on the keyboard. I haven’t seen that before.
Cool idea BTW.
A long time.
You get what you fucking pay for.
No… Just travel there weekly for a long time for work. Still have work and employees there. All of the below should be reasonably close. Hospital is not far from your rental. …well not far for a Texan.
English food and beer: Red Lion British Pub
Chinese food: Pepper Twins
Persian Food: Kasra
Vietnamese food: Old Saigon (have not been but good reviews), my old haunt is under new mgmt so I can’t recommend it :(
Cajun food: Bobobs or Cajun Town. I’m sure this will be very contentious but good Cajun food isn’t dressy. If you need classy then go Pappadeauxs.
Tex Mex food: Guadalajara Mexican Grille. Pricey but reliable. Otherwise Ninfa’s or TJ Birria Y Mas
South American food (Peru): Saldivia’s South American Grill (have not been but good reviews)
My other fav’s…can vouch through many meals and drinks: North Italia, True Food Kitchen, Oporto Tapas, McElroy’s Pub, Poison girl, Agora, Brasil, Common Bond Bistro, Anvil, Harry’s Greek, Barnaby’s.
I’ve run out of steam. HMU for any specific questions.
San Jacinto museum. Hard to get to but important to Texas history.
Museums in H town are really good.
Walk around Memorial Park to get some headspace when needed.
NASA. Expensive but worth it.
I’ll add some restaurants. It’s a great melting pot of food and cultures.
MD Anderson is S tier. Kick cancer’s ass.
The only hope I have is that the next generation will bring more love. There is a lot of disenfranchisement due to the changes over the last 40 years. The lasting effects of coal and steel work reduction, offshoring of jobs, minority rights improving, immigration changing demographics. All of these have been very strange and alarming for a lot of people my age and older. It’s all normal to my kids though.
You’re right tho. Empires rise and fall. The whole world is fucked if we’ve hit our peak.
I normally don’t like to admit this but you’re right. OP needs to move.
I really like the quote about drawing lines versus circles. I’ve always believed Jesus’ teaching to love one another is the core of Christianity.
Wait… So they fly this stuff all the way from Canadia to Mexico and then have the Guatemalans sneak across our open borders into Texas to kill kids? Ohhhhhh. Now I got it.
Added another moist for emphasis.
Side note: humble brag…I speak and moderate periodically at conferences. My friends give me a list of 5 words to slide into my speech. Moist was one of them. That’s the hardest word to just slip into (as it were) a presentation. I was successful.
Used to clean toilets, vacuum, mop and buff floors, clean windows, build bicycles. Loved it all.
This may not apply, (as I know I’m simply saying a commercial product got worse as it had revisions) but Jawbone’s first earbud/headset used a small rubber conductor to evaluate skull vibration for noise canceling ( and likely there was some ANC using incoming mic audio from external sources). They continued to include a rubber bumper but I think the device leaned more on incoming audio from mics rather than from the rubber bumper. The oldest device presented the best noise canceling even after 3 product changes. I used every version until they stopped making headsets. I miss my Jawbone. I still have my OG.
Installed pi-hole this week. Number one blocked domain with 1600 queries… Scribe.logs.roku.com.
Muadib.
Hell yeah… I’m completely right when arguing with my wife until I’m not.
Texas checking in… We don’t have as good of names like that but we have cities like Paris, Athens, and Odessa, TX. I think there are maybe 20 to 25 international city names that would make a fascinating road trip and probably be over 1K miles/1600 Km.
