I am against animal agriculture for the same reason I am against sexism, racism, ableism, classism and homophobia.

The circumstances of a creatures birth does not dictate what it is “meant for”, every one deserves to live happy, healthily and with dignity, but some simply want to live.

  • Hey, can we not use misogynistic phrasing to defend trans women? I feel and appreciate where you are coming from and she is an awful person for doing this. But at best stuff like that is hypocritical since your using bigoted language to fight bigotrry and at worst legitimizes TERF talking points that “trans people and allies hate cis women”.

Just like when a trans person does something shitty it’s not a free pass to misgender them or when a PoC is shitty that’s not a pass to use racist language or woman is shitty thats not a pass for sexist rhetoric.

Sorry, I don’t like to tone police but as a trans women myself, this sort of thing really bothers me.

  • First United submitted a cash bid of $3.5 million dollars. By contrast, Cicack said, The Onion’s bid contained only $1.75 million in cash, alongside a waiver from the Connecticut families setting aside any of their earnings from the auctioned assets.

But Cicack challenged the use of this waiver, arguing it was “conditional and contingent” and “the equivalent of ‘monopoly’ money” and “simply has no value.”

All money is monopoly money. It’s all fake paper that has no intrinsic value, because the true value is what everyone agrees on. Their waiver ensure more monopoly money to the plaintiffs than your monopoly money bid.

You lost. Shut up. Go home.

  • Then I saw my husband’s post. “God Bless America. God bless #45, 47.” I immediately texted, “I love you, but out of respect for me and all my liberal writer friends, can you please take down that post?

Still, I know he is a good man and he would do anything for a family member or friend, which makes what he has done even more infuriating and even more painful.

On Nov. 7, I saw my husband’s post was still up. It had more comments from Americans I believe had made a huge mistake two days earlier.

“I saw that you didn’t take your post down, and that breaks my heart.” Then I walked out the door — devastated but determined — into the blue of a new day.

Hon, you say he would do anything for family? But he couldn’t even take down a post. It’s time to start accepting that your mental image of him is not the same person who is in reality.
