It really seems like my grocery store (a Kroger brand) has been doing this for a bit now.
Prices on certain things vary wildly depending on the time of the month or the day of the week. Plus, with their bullshit, incessant push for everyone to use their app and online ordering, it seems like this will be much more common moving forward.
5·9 months agoYou’re not wrong, and maybe they should have initially responded to the person who called them out. But this whole conversation could’ve turned into a dumpster fire in a number of different ways.
I believe the response given was absolutely worth commending. It showed compassion and maturity - things that are all too often lacking in internet discourse.

I really hope this doesn’t turn out to be self-inflicted… Either that, or that’s the angle the officials are hoping to imply in the meantime. This whole thing is so heartbreaking…
