Yeah, birth years are super common in usernames (and password, don’t use it there). Bob Smith finds his preferred username is taken so becomes BobSmith79 or BobSmith88 or whatever because it’s easy an easy enough variation to remember.
You can find patterns/relations in almost anything if you reach for something, kinda like the “six degrees of separation” thing even if there’s a more reasonable answer
They did. Not many choices left that support it, sadly
Yeah exempting underwear, socks, and significant change in body size I’d likely be good for a few decades
Probably to keep somebody from clipping it out and claiming ownership of the video
The country already knowingly voted for the fascists, just under the thought that “they’re our kind of fascists”
Yeah. Calling something a sale at a price that’s not actually discounted under the regular price (with some caveats on how long it needs to be at said regular price), then yeah it’s a violation of the act. Basically false advertising.
Bumping up the regular price to cover what you’d have otherwise saved on tax is dickish but not against any regulations AFAIK
Raising prices then advertising a “sale” at the same/higher price IS actually against the law though. Unfortunately we have terrible enforcement of these laws but they do exist:
Not to mention that in Witcher 3 there were already plenty of Ciri “flashback” missions.
I kinda wonder if they’ll be doing the same in reverse and she’ll be saving Geralt’s ass this time around as the main plot
“What’re you in for?”
“Offing an insurance CEO after his companies decided to cap the amount of anaesthetics they’d cover for operations”
“Duuuuuddde. Would you like my canteen ticket?”
tweaking himem.sys was a skill in and of itself :-)
DOS5 here, installed from 5.25" floppies on a tiny HDD and looking at one of those awful shades-of-yellow monitors.
That’s if you don’t count the computer that didn’t have a hard drive and ONLY booted from 3.5" floppy (which was just enough to get a bootable DOS disk and Prince of Persia).
IRQ’s were great for choice. You got to your modem, video card, and soundcard and then picked which two would actually work when they all wanted IRQ5 or 7
A lot of people in this sub could be put in “potential killer” territory based on the comments made but that doesn’t mean they are/were
So basically, no good billionaires but maybe good former-billionaires?
Except at some point he would have been between the two - an active billionaire giving away his wealth - and presumably still a good person.
Some are useful. It’s not uncommon for scammers to throw up copies of legitimate sites, but hosting malware etc. Having tried to deal with Google, GoDaddy-et-al I can attest that their fucks given about such things is minimal but one of these companies can get offending sites taken down pretty quick.
The problem is when they don’t do due-diligence (and don’t face reasonable consequences for failing in said diligence) and then shit like this happens
And, sadly, no longer available in Canada for some reason :-(
Fixed fine on a sliding scale for repeat offenders
Ah yes, the “outrage clickbait” that is a known issue and has been the subject of numerous studies by government and reputable institutions both pre and post pandemic.
Guess we should send the border services agency a memo that it’s probably only a hundred people and they should remove it from the things they literally screen for, because some Internet genius is sure it’s nothing to worry about…
That’s also not counting the # of people that try and fail.
Border services can turn back people who are pregnant and close to their end-date
Neither do the other thousands or millions of people who do so, but it’s not a particularly uncommon thing and it’s likely enough that (birthdate) is the reason it’s there. I’ve got my birth year (not '88) in my username for some sites because the bare username was already taken
