The point being you build something new and run the crusty compatible stuff in a sort of “virtual machine”.

There are English speakers on Lemmy too. And some of them post Chinese propaganda. I wouldn’t doubt if a lot of this “surge” is manufactured/faked.
Is any reporter going to actually look into this? I have serious doubts that a slew of English speaking TikTok users who can barely use their phones to begin with are going to mass migrate to a Chinese language app just to watch lame ass videos. This really feels like some sort of propaganda campaign.
This sounds like such made up bullshit.
That’s probably a good thing. Why on earth should a pdf file be able to do something like this? Just seems like another potential attack surface.
YouTube charges too much. It costs more than Netflix! They need like a $6/mo plan or something.
Microsoft recently announced a handheld for Xbox. They’re going to half ass this they way they did with windows phone.
Pathetic.
Current implementation seems like overkill. Why not just:
I don’t really understand the purpose of the feature — GPS tags are already embedded in the photo by the phone, so it knows the location of each picture. The phone also analyzes faces of people you’ve identified so you can search for people you know. What else does this new feature add?
I think it was his end run around Apple donating the money directly which would have been a complete disaster. I don’t think Cook supports trump in a “rah rah” sort of way, but knows if the company doesn’t pay him suck up money, it will come back to haunt them later.
Either way, it’s still gross.
Apple opted customers in, got sued, and will now prompt customers if they want to be opted in or out.
I recommend “Severance” on AppleTV. Also recommend “Shining Girls”. AppleTV is free this weekend.
Season one of Silo was great. Season two is a poorly edited mess.
You can also see him play a psycho behind the scenes of “Terminator Salvation”.
The not getting that you’re being called out for loving the violence and fascism part of the movie reminds me of Verhoven films like “Starship Troopers” and “Robocop”.
For more context, watch Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street” with Michael (greed is good) Douglass.
Yummy. Good soda substitute. Different flavors appeal to different people so if you don’t like one, try another.
Other brands are hit or miss as many of their flavorings taste “fake”.
I wish lemmy used some sort of organizational hierarchy for subs the way Usenet did. That way you could easily ignore whole swaths off topics you aren’t interested in, like sports, or music, or memes.
“Gemini” is such a dumb name for AI/chatbot.
