edit: There is some good news for turn-based tactics fans. Another studio founded by former XCOM devs is focusing on turn-based games.
I don’t know that the Japanese game industry has had layoffs like the west has.
I’m reminded of the time Satoru Iwata cut his own salary to avoid layoffs at Nintendo.
