I’m still playing the God of War collection for PS Vita. I am not a huge fan of the gameplay so I’m not sure if I will play the sequel. I’m wondering if the new God of War games play similarly.

The new games do not play like the old ones. If you aren’t enjoying the god of war collection I would still very much recommend playing the new ones. Both of the new games have amazing stories, interesting puzzles, and great gameplay.

Thanks for the response! I think I’ll probably give the news a go eventually. Do you recommend I watch a playthrough of two and three so I can fully understand the story?

Nah the new games do a good job of letting you know what’s going on. Plus it is a totally different pantheon of Gods/ story arc. I played the OGs as a kid and didn’t revisit them at all before playing the new ones and loved them.

New path of exile patch dropped last Friday, finally got to it yesterday, sunk 6 hours to get 4 acts in (I’m pretty casual), was really enjoying my build and the new mechanics.

I received an expansion card for my Xbox s for my birthday, immediately filled it with the large games, Forza horizon 5 and Forza motorsport got played a bit last week,

(start rant) it feels like Microsoft/Forza devs entirely missed the mark when splitting the games between, “the best car simulation game you’ve ever played” and “the most fun driving game you’ve ever played”, there’s no music track, no radio, not even a radio option in Forza motorsport (far and away the better driving simulator, but really no manual transmission setting??) and the assistant is practically useless having all of 2 or 3 different things to say outside of scripted events, you have no horn, the car decal customization is non-existent (despite all of your competitors cars looking awesomely tricked out), all of your pit crew looks exactly the same (as do all of your competitors and their pit crews), you have very limited means to earn new cars & money is always seemingly tight. Meanwhile in horizon 5 they refuse to stop holding your hand, content is constantly behind gates, there are very few serious races, they constantly talk at you they somehow even knew my name and used it in voice over, everything is open world and silly and fun but nothing ever gives the feeling accomplishing anything, they throw cars and money and outfit and customization of avatar, the cars all feel very same-y, and the environments are incredible but the races and driving themselves feel meh. (End of rant)

Backpack battles is still an awesome way to wind down at the end of the day, maybe a half hour of that every night.

And the daily word puzzles, but I’ve dropped wordle because they want me to log in to see more and more (what should be basic) features, like my stats. If I can’t see my stats I’m not using your service, I will waffle and squardle.

Back into Elden Ring to warm up for the DLC. I’m trying to beat the game at RL 50, melee only.

I’m amazed how much of the game I missed my first playthrough solely due to cheese.

Still working through Borderlands 3 side quests. With a sprinkling of Division 2 and 2009Scape

I’m playing a lot of Helldivers 2 and The Talos Principle 2, and I’m having a great time from both games.

I’ve been playing Elden Ring with the Seamless Co-op mod with a few friends, it’s been a blast so far.

Been on a KeeperRL kick for a couple weeks but after this last loss I think I’m done with it for a while. Balatro has also been keeping me occupied. I just started a strength build in elden ring a couple days ago to get ready for the dlc. I made a mistake by starting NG+ on my first character and I don’t want to try the DLC on even harder mode.

I’ve gotten into Wasteland 2 recently, I love Bryan Fargo and Chris Avellone’s work, and so far it’s holding up. I’m coming off of a Shadowrun: Dragonfall playthrough, so apparently I’m in a CRPG mood at the moment.

Not Squad. Not supported on Linux and although it runs on Proton / Steam, EAC errors mean no online play. Sad times.

I’ve basically only been playing Noita since I started maybe 6 weeks ago. Harsh and unforgiving, but it gets better the more you learn.

I highly recommend looking while others play to learn, and reading up on the wiki (noita.wiki.gg, the fandom wiki is abandoned by the community). There is SO much that is basically impossible to figure out on your own, but it’s so much fun. It’s a much bigger game than you might think if you just jump in and play, too. Even 134 hours in I still have quite a few things I’ve never done.

I’m finally getting into Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins. I had a blast with the demo with friends but didn’t play through the full game until now.
