Usha Vance, the second lady, and Michael Waltz, the national security adviser, are on their way this week. Greenlandic officials called the move “aggressive.”

But depending on how much Denmark wants to scale up the tensions, they could either refuse them permission to land or let them land but refuse to let them exit the US base into Greenland’s territory.
Either way, start procedures to close the base and kick them out. They’ve given more than enough justification by threatening Greenland. Whether you really want to close the base or not, threaten to and then you can negotiate for some kind of payment to let the base stay. That’s what trump would do and what he would respond to.
