She doesn’t have a campaign anymore, she can’t tell them what to do.

Probably why they said “urges” instead of “instructs”.

There’s a difference between “I know we’re not your employer any longer, but you’re still forbidden from this thing” and “hey, I know we’re all kind of disappointed and emotions are hot right now. What people say to the media can come back to haunt us. Please don’t do that, especially if that’s not your area of expertise, as it may have implications in the next election”

Politics is a weird incestuous profession where references and endorsement matters more. All the high level staffers need that good reference to get their next job.

It’s still a legal entity that has work to wrap up.

Guys, stop talking to the media, you’re making our expensive strategists look bad. We really want to campaign with republicans and we don’t need your dissenting opinions out there to make it harder for us to do again next time.

If this is about not giving red meat for magatrolls to use to taunt all normal Americans, I get it. Also, if it’s not about cooperating with the “liberal media”, because fuck their corporate bullshit, I get that, too.

      Yes.

Dem Insiders Begged Team Harris Not to Campaign With Liz Cheney. “People don’t want to be in a coalition with the devil,” says a Democratic source who was appalled by Harris’ embrace of Dick Cheney
